Tuition fees at the Antigua State College’s Business Department have not been increased, as some parents had feared.
Earlier today, reports reaching REAL News said the fees had more than doubled – from $1,000 to $2,500 a term – as of the new school year, opening next week.
However, Jackie Richardson, Acting Principal of the College, has clarified the situation. Tuition is $2,500 for the entire academic year, she explains, but students have been allowed to pay $1,000 per semster and $500 for summer courses.
In order to avoid the anxiety that such rumours can create, Richardson encourages parents to make a simple check with the College’s administration in future.
Tuition fees for most of the institution’s departments were increased only last September.
